Real-time weather from Yr.noThe app continuously fetches wind speed and wind direction directly from Yr.no based on the exact GPS coordinates of each active hunter or hound.

Dynamic scent cone on the mapUsing wind data, Geo-Harbor overlays a transparent scent cone behind each active hunter and dog on the map. The cone points downwind, showing where your scent is drifting.

Wind speed affects the shapeThe scent cone's reach adapts to wind speed. Light winds create a wider, shorter cone (scent lingers), while stronger winds stretch the cone into a narrower, longer plume.

Plan your stand optimallyBy visualizing your own and others' scent paths on the map, you can avoid placing stands where the wind carries hunters' scent directly into the hunting area.
Tactical tip for dog handlers
When walking with a dog, check the map regularly. Walk upwind (against the direction of the scent cone) to give the dog the best possible chance to catch the scent of game before the game detects your scent.
Visualization on the map
Scent cones update automatically every 15 minutes and render directly on your active map layer (satellite, topo, or vector). Easily toggle wind and scent layers with the cloud icon.
